In-Kind Giving
We are truly indebted to the companies who offer in-kind support to Futures and Options in the form of design, printing and paper for our annual report, a venue for our spring cocktails event, the use of space for our workshops and many other forms of support.
We are always in need of and welcome in-kind items for our events, for use in our program, office furniture and supplies, graphic design services, space for workshops and meetings, as well as anything that you might think would benefit our program.
For more information on In-Kind Giving, please visit our In-Kind Support page.
Gifts of Securities, Stocks, or Mutual Funds
Gifts of securities, which have risen in value since their purchase, are particularly attractive under our current tax laws. The benefits to the donor are substantial: You avoid all capital gains tax when you contribute long-term appreciated securities to Futures and Options. You receive a charitable income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities (on date of transfer) if it has been held longer than one year. The fair market value of the assets can be deducted against up to 30% of your adjusted gross income and any excess deductions can be carried forward into as many as five additional tax years.
To make a gift of stock to Futures and Options, please call us at 212-601-0002.
Use the occasion of a birthday, holiday or any special occasion to make a donation to Futures and Options in honor of a family member or special friend. You can also make a memorial gift in the name of a loved one. To do so, donate online here.
A gift for endowment demonstrates your farsighted commitment to Futures and Options. An endowment is a fund that is maintained in perpetuity, and only a portion of the annual investment return is used for the purposes specified by the donor. The rest of the investment yield is returned to the principle. Thus, over the years, the fund can grow and hopefully keep pace with inflation. If you make a contribution to the Futures and Options endowment you will receive special recognition for your generosity.
For more information on making an endowment, please contact Carolyn Silver or call 212-601-0002.
