College Guidance
The Futures and Options College Guidance Initiative provides monthly workshops that increase students' awareness of the opportunities available for post-secondary education and assist students as they navigate the college application process. Students acquire a thorough knowledge of post-secondary education options and the steps involved in the research, application, and selection process. Participating students have the opportunity to learn from each other, share individual experiences with their peers, and receive relevant materials. Students also have the option to sign up for one-on-one college counseling.
Who can attend? Futures and Options' applicants, participants, and alumni are invited to attend monthly workshops throughout the year that cover applying to college, writing personal statements, identifying college scholarship opportunities, filling out FAFSA, and selecting colleges, careers, and majors. Additionally, participants are invited to attend two college campus visits.
