Psychoanalytic Perspectives
NIP's journal, Psychoanalytic Perspectives, is alive with the interplay of relational, interpersonal, intersubjective and traditional theories. Published three times yearly, the journal offers an assortment of Roundtable discussions on significant themes such as "Child Survivors of the Holocaust," "Winnicott," and "Violence in the Consulting Room."
It provides readers with an intellectually nurturing space for dialogue between leaders in the field of psychoanalysis and emerging psychoanalysts. Unique to Psychoanalytyic Perspectives, the editors also encourage contributions of memoirs, poetry, short stories and essays relating to the psychoanalytic experience.
In addition, in the integrative spirit of The National Institute for the Psychotherapies, the journal includes writing on other mental health modalities, such as cognitive, body-centered, family, and group therapies. Other highlights are interviews with well-known theoreticians as well as book, film, art and theater reviews.
