From September 2010 to January 2011, Project Pericles held D4D on the Road training workshops at 12 Periclean colleges and universities during the 2010-2011 academic year. These workshops built on the success of the D4D on the Road workshops of the 2009-2010 academic year. Each 6-hour workshop helped attendees discover the power of using stories and connecting through values to mobilize support, persuasively communicate, and motivate people to act. Participants explored the tactics for pursuing change, including advocacy, electoral campaigns, lobbying, organizing, and policy development.
The workshops were led by The Center for Progressive Leadership (CPL), a national nonpartisan political training institute based in Washington, D.C. that has trained over 5,000 diverse leaders at every level of political involvement.
Since 2008, Project Pericles has brought these important workshops to 26 Periclean campuses across the United States. The workshops are open to students, administrators, faculty, alumni, and community members.
